Welcome to a new sewing class, in today’s class you will learn how to sew different patch pockets.
In the previous class you already learned how to make the patterns for these 4 pockets, so today it’s time to sew them.
In today’s class, you will learn different techniques that you can combine with each other to sew pockets.
Today’s class starts with a method we use in mass production and one of my favourites as it’s quick and looks great.
Then we will move on to making a lined pocket and in this you will learn a method that is used when working in luxury.
Then we will go on to make a square pocket with embellishment, you will learn how it is done at the different levels of the fashion world.
Thanks to this pocket you will learn a more common method for people who are dedicated to the world of fashion as a hobby.
To finish we will go on to make a round pocket with a pleat, here you will also learn a different method to sew a round pocket.

The best way to learn pattern making and sewing is by practising, so for today’s class, I am going to ask you to make the 4 patch pockets that we have made today.
Remember that this class is attached to the patch pocket pattern making class, so remember to send me pictures of your patterns as well.
You already know that you can send me these exercises at full size or at half scale, although for this exercise I recommend that you send it to me at full scale.
Please try to send me photos where the patterns and your samples look clear and accurate so I can give you better feedback.
