Welcome to the first sewing class in Professor Pattern! As you have already in the pattern making classes, we always start with some introduction to cover off the basics.
In today’s class we are going to examine the sewing machine and the industrial iron.
I will also explain the different parts they have and make some recommendations that will help you to sew better.
We are going to see how the sewing machine works and I am going to explain how to maintain it correctly.
For proper maintenance you will learn how to change the oil in an industrial sewing machine.
You will also learn how to change the needle and the foot of the sewing machine.
Then I will show you a trick on how to change the thread of the sewing machine easily and quickly when we already have it threaded.
And to finish, and although it is somewhat more advanced, we are also going to begin to become familiar with the size of the needles and their differences.
That is all for today’s class, did you already know everything we have covered? The first classes are fairly basic but they are very important to make sure you understand everything before moving on to the more advanced classes.
As always, if you have any questions about this class, you can send me an email through the support section of your user account.
