How to sew a sleeping mask

Welcome to a new Sewing Club class. In today’s class, we’re going to sew a sleeping mask.

This sleeping mask is designed to cover the entire head, which personally helps me sleep better.

I designed these patterns to be worn with knitted fabric, as I think it’s more comfortable to wear when sleeping.

You’ll find the patterns for this sleeping mask just below the class video.

As you are aware, sewing club patterns are only available with your membership for a limited period.

Be sure to download them when you get the chance.

Today’s class begins by downloading and printing the sleeping mask patterns.

After putting them together, we will cut them, and we will be ready to start cutting the fabric.

We’ll start by cutting the outer fabric and sewing it using the overlock, although we’ll leave one side open to add the filling.

• It is quite easy to sew, but if you don’t have experience sewing stretch fabrics, it can be complicated.
• 30cm (11 13/16in) of knitted fabric
• 15cm (5 7/8in) of wadding (you may need more depending on the thickness)
• 2cm (3/4in) thick Velcro

Next, we’ll move on to cutting the filling. I recommend adding wadding, but you can add other types of fillings.

Wadding comes in different thicknesses, but if you can’t find the thickness you like, you can cut the wadding more than once.

Next, we will close the opening of the sleeping mask and add the Velcro.
