How to reshape a shirt collar and collar stand

Welcome to a new class on sewing alterations, in today’s class, I am going to teach you how to modify the shape of the shirt collar and its stand.

This sewing alteration is very common in men’s clothing, where the customer buys a shirt and does not like the shape of the collar.

For today’s class, we are going to use a shirt with a fairly large collar and a double collar stand.

The client wants to convert the double collar stand to a single collar stand and change the shape of the collar.

A characteristic that we have to take into account when making sewing alterations is the elements of the garment, in this case, we have buttonholes in the corners of the collar.

This means that we will also have to modify the position of the buttons and we will not be able to modify the collar corners since the buttonholes are cut.

As is becoming common in sewing alterations classes, I am going to tell you what I charged to do this type of work.
