Description
The Tailor’s ham is a tool that has been used by experts for many years. At present, we mainly use it to iron seams that are not straight, it will be really useful for ironing darts, shoulders, collars, among other things.
If you have not studied classic tailoring, something that you may not know is, you can also use this tailor cushion to shape the fabric in certain areas such as the chest.
This pattern is designed so that its curves reproduce the natural curves that you can find in the human anatomy, with experience you will be able to see it.
This pattern is quite small so you can take advantage of scraps that you have left over from other projects. Although in the instructions I recommend which material to use, always keep in mind that you have to use heat resistant material.
Seams allowances
This pattern is ready to be made and already has 1 cm of seams allowances all around it included. Just print and glue the 2 sheets that come in the PDF with tape, cut it out and the pattern is ready.
Difficulty
This Tailor’s ham is very easy to sew and is perfect for beginners. Remember that this pattern has instructions so that you do not have any problems when making it.

Mary –
Thank you Marc for these patterns. I have just made the ham so far, with wool melton on one side and cotton on the other and an inner layer of cotton. I stuffed it with wood shavings which I really had to pack in there as they are spongy and pack down. In fact, I had to reopen and add more after the first day as I wasn’t quite aggressive enough! In any case, it is wonderful. The darts help make a beautiful form. I love it.
