With these arms for the mannequin / dress form you can try out all the sleeve patterns you want or test how the garments look in a more realistic way.
I have designed this yoke with its 2 arms so that it is very easy for you to remove and put on. One of its advantages is that you will not need to use pins and they will always be the correct size for your mannequin.
This pattern is designed with a dart at the elbow so that the arm is tilted slightly forward so that it closely resembles the human body.
I recommend that you use calico as it is resistant to high temperatures so that you can iron on these arms.
For the filling, I recommend using wadding, but before buying it, make sure it can support high temperatures. The same as in the other tools you can use other fillings such as scrap pieces but it does not work as well.
This pattern comes in 3 sizes: small, medium, and large.
Every mannequin is different, I have designed this pattern using one of the most famous and most used brands in the UK fashion industry.
Remember that before cutting the fabric you have to check and perhaps adapt the pattern to make it perfect on your mannequin.
This pattern has 1 cm in all its contour except in the Center Back and Center Front which is cut in the fold.
Sewing these arms for the mannequin is somewhat complicated. I would rate this pattern with an intermediate difficulty, especially since you work with very tight curves and some patterns can be confusing.
Remember that this pattern comes with written instructions and a video tutorial so that you won’t have any problems when sewing it.
