Welcome to this new pattern making class, in today’s class you will learn how to perfect the bodice block.
The class begins by making some alterations to the pattern we made last week to make our prototype.
Then we will go on to redesign the armhole we made and I will explain why we have to remove more in the front.
I decided to put this step in the second part of the video, for several reasons, among them I wanted to give it the importance it deserves.
Then I will show you how to true all the seams to make sure that we do not find any problems at the time of making.
True a seam means to check all the seam fit correctly.
Then we will make our second prototype together and check that it fits on the mannequin.
Remember that you have to pre-shrink the fabric before cutting it to have a good result.

Once on the mannequin, we will decide if we like the ease we have put in or whether we want to change it.
Since each body is different, it is also important that you learn the most common pattern alterations such as a gaping armhole or for sloping or square shoulders.
That is all for today’s class, as always if you have any questions you can send me an email through your user account in the support section.
Submit your exercises
As you already know, the best way to learn pattern making is by practising, so for this class, I invite you to send me your second prototype.
So that I can send you better comments, try to send me several photos from different angles so that I can see better what you have done.

Marc is extremely knowledgeable, very helpful and approachable throughout the course.
There is a lot of opportunity to practice what is covered in the lessons and Marc goes above and beyond when helping answer questions as well as giving clear feedback when going through assessments.
I am happy with the course because I am learning so much and in professional manner, patterns fit perfect, he has a good system, the best I tried so far.
thanks for your efforts
