Welcome to this new industrial pattern making class, in today’s class we are going to learn how to sew the base sleeve and make the sleeve rolled up.
In the previous class, we made the sleeve block pattern, now we are going to sew it to make sure it is perfect.
As I explained to you in today’s class, we can sew the sleeves in different ways.
Depending on the final garment, we will use one type or another.
For this class, I am going to teach you the method of embedding the sleeve that we mainly use when we are going to sew sleeves for blouses and dresses.
The other method we will learn when we make the jacket and coat sleeve

Once we know how to sew the sleeve block, I will teach you how to shorten the sleeve and the correct way to add seam allowances.
Then you will learn how to make the sleeve with a turn up/ roll up and no, it is not just to fold the hem, because if we do that, we will see that some fabric is missing and it will not look good.
You will also see the sewing of the roll up sleeve
Finally, I will teach you how to make the pattern of the roll up sleeve using another fabric, a technique that is used a lot in the fashion industry.
If you have any questions, you can send me an email through your user account, in the support tab.

The best way to learn pattern making is to do it yourself, so for this class, I am going to ask you to sew the sleeve block to make sure it works perfectly.
And then I’m also going to ask you to make the roll up sleeve patterns with 1 single fabric and with a different fabric for the hem.
