Welcome to a new pattern making class, in today’s class, I am going to teach you how to make a classic neckline.
This neckline is made up of different elements that we have already learned in previous classes.
Today’s class begins by making an empire neckline to create the underbust seam.
Then we will start to draw the wrap neckline, once we have it ready we will start to remove all the ease to make sure that this neckline does not gape.
It is important that before watching this class you have seen the previous classes so that you perfectly understand what I am doing.
You need to have seen the corrective dart class or you won’t know the measurements we are removing.
Once we have removed the ease in the appropriate places, we will add a gather under the bust as a decorative element.
You can add more or less volume to the gathering depending on your personal tastes.

As always, I am going to give you all the necessary measurements to make the same design that I made, but remember that you can change it to your personal taste.
It is important that you make at least one toile (prototype) to ensure that everything works perfectly.
You can then cut this pattern out of the final fabric you want to use.
Remember that if you have any questions about today’s class, you can always send me an email through your student account, in the support section.

You already know that the best way to learn is by practicing, so for today’s class I am going to ask you to make the patterns for this version of the wrap neckline.
You can make these patterns at full size or half scale.
Please try to send me photos where the patterns and their annotations are clearly and accurately seen so that I can send you better feedback.
