Welcome to a new pattern making class, in today’s class, I am going to teach you how to make a trapeze top.
The trapeze top is a sleeveless top that is fitted at the upper chest line and has a lot of volume at the bottom of the top.
As a support system for this top, it is normal to find straps, although we could change the straps for an elastic at the neckline.
Today’s class begins by designing the front and back neckline.
Once we have the neckline designed, we are going to remove the ease that is around the bust to ensure that this neckline stays in place.
Since we are going to remove ease using corrective darts, I recommend that you watch that class first to make sure that you can follow this class without a problem.
Once our neckline is perfect, we are going to add volume to the bottom of this top to have that beautiful effect.

As always, I will give you all the necessary measurements to make the same design as me, but you can change them to your personal taste or to the taste of your client.
We will add more or less volume depending on the drape of the final fabric you want to use.
Remember that if you have any questions about today’s class, you can always send me an email through your student account, in the support section.
Send your exercises
You already know that the best way to learn industrial pattern making is by practicing, so for today’s class I am going to ask you to make the trapeze top patterns.
You can send me these exercises in full size or half scale.
Please try to send me photos where the patterns and their annotations are clearly and accurately seen so that I can send you better feedback.
