Welcome to a new pattern making class, in today’s class we are going to learn how to make the trouser block (sloper).
The class begins by teaching the finished patterns where we will talk about how to distinguish them and some of their parts.
Then I will show you what measurements we need to make the trousers and how to take them.
Once we have this clear, we will go on to make the pattern of the trousers; there are many methods to make this pattern block.
The method that we are going to learn today has the front and the back together on one page and then we have to trace them separately. This is called the Master Pattern. It is that pattern that we save in case we have to make any changes.
Remember that you have a class that will tell you how to trace.
For this class, I have not added any movement ease but in the extra material section, you can find the ease that I recommend. If you need a reminder, I explain movement ease in the class of the skirt block.
This is the finished trouser block. The trousers go up to the waist but we can modify it as we want. It is important to know where the waist is.
In the next class of trousers, I will teach you how to make the prototype, (we always have to toile) and I will teach you the most common alterations to make sure it is perfect.
Remember that if you have any questions about this class, you can always send me an email through your user account, in the support section.

As you already know, the best way to learn pattern making is by doing it yourself.
For this class, I am going to ask you to make the trouser block pattern.
Remember, so that I can send you better feedback, try to send me clear photos and where your work can be seen correctly.
