How to make a sweet wrap sleeve

Welcome to a new pattern making class, in today’s class, I am going to teach you how to make the sweet wrap sleeve.

The sweet wrap sleeve is characterized because this sleeve is reminiscent of the classic sweet or candy packaging.

It is a sleeve with an oval volume with a gathering at the cuff that makes the fabric at the bottom come out.

I’m going to use this class to teach you how to add or remove ease in the sleeve cap.

As we already know, the sleeve block pattern has ease in the sleeve cup that we embed into the bodices.

Now, not all fabrics can absorb the same amount, so depending on the final fabric we have to remove or add ease.

Today’s class begins by adding the desired volume first to the top and then to the bottom.

Then we will create a cuff that will clean the external and internal sections and we will create a channel for the elastic band.

Remember that it is important to make prototypes to check that there are no errors in the patterns and to be able to adjust the final design.
