Welcome to a new pattern making class, in today’s lesson, I’m going to teach you how to make classic palazzo trousers.
The palazzo trousers are characterized because the upper part of the trousers has a fitted waist and the lower part has a lot of volume.
Today’s class is perfect for learning how to lower the crouth point of the trousers since the Palazzo trousers have a lot of ease, so we need to lower the crouth to make sure the trousers are balanced.
Today’s class begins by tracing our trousers block pattern, where we will make all the transformations.
First of all, I am going to show you the correct way to lower the crouth, since we want very loose trousers, it would not make sense for our waist to be close to the body.
Then we will modify the length of the trousers and add all the volume necessary to create the classic Palazzo trousers.

As always, I am going to give you all the necessary measurements to make the same trousers that I have made, but remember that you can change them to your personal taste or to that of your client.
It is also important to remember that we will change the measurements according to the final fabric that you are going to use.
To finish the waist of these trousers, I have simply added a straight waistband.
