Welcome to a new pattern making class, in today’s class, I am going to teach you how to make a Mermaid skirt.
The Sirena skirt is characterized as it is fitted at the top and has a lot of volume at the bottom.
This skirt resembles the tail of the mermaids that we are used to seeing on television.
Today’s class begins by changing the length of our skirt block pattern, this length will depend mostly on your height or the height of your client.
Then we will go on to take in this skirt so that the mermaid silhouette is more marked and we will talk about the correct way to do it.
Then we will start by adding the volume at the bottom, this volume can be added in different ways.
The way that I personally like the most and the most common on the market is to add godets inserted into the skirt.

As always, I am going to give you all the necessary measurements so that you can make the same skirt that I have made, but you already know that you can change all these measurements to your personal taste.
It is important to make prototypes before cutting the final fabric to make sure that everything is perfect.
Remember that if you have any questions about today’s class, you can always send me an email through your user account, in the support section.
