How to make a full circular trousers

Welcome to a new pattern making class. In today’s class, I’m going to teach you how to make a full circular trousers.

It is also known as a full circular skort or culotte.

These trousers are characterised by having a lot of volume that starts from the waist.

The circular trousers are a combination of the theories of circular skirts and culottes, creating this beautiful effect.

Today’s class begins by creating the waistband for this pattern, where we’ll use the techniques learned in the circle skirt class.

We’re going to make full circular trousers, but you can change the volume to a half circle or a quarter.

You will decide this depending on your personal taste and the drape of the fabric you are going to use.

Once we have the waist and hem finished, we will create the crotch of these trousers.

You already learned how to take this measurement in the trousers block class, but to do it a little differently, today I’m going to teach you a formula for calculating the crotch.

You can do the crotch however you like.

Next, we will create the “cylinder” to create the trousers leg, and this is where we will place the legs.

The leg width is different in the front than in the back.

We will finish today’s class by industrializing the pattern and cutting it.

Off camera, I added a straight waistband to clean up the waist seam.

The length of the zip opening system varies depending on the customer’s body type and the amount of ease you want to add.
