How to make a cross strap neckline

Welcome to a new pattern making class. In today’s class, I’m going to teach you how to make a cross strap neckline.

This neckline is characterized by straps that extend from the front to the back and cross over each other.

This silhouette became very popular a few years ago and unlike the wrap body class, these patterns are symmetrical.

Today’s class starts with the front, where we will have to unfold the pattern to be able to create the straps that go on the other side.

Once the front is unfolded, we will make the neckline. In this case, we have two neckline lines: the upper neckline and the lower neckline.

Then we will remove the ease to ensure that this pattern fits the body perfectly.

To do this we will use the guide we made in the corrective dart class, so it is necessary that you watch that class before taking this one.

As I have explained in previous classes, the corrective dart guide is not fixed and we can make other corrective darts and play with them.

For this class, on one side of the pattern, we will use the guide but for the other, we will use another technique.

Then we will move on to making the back patterns, although the strap that we see on the back will be from the front pattern.

As always, I will give you all the necessary measurements to make this design, but you can change it to suit your personal taste.

Remember that you always have to make a prototype to make sure everything works perfectly before cutting the final fabric.
