How to make a circular dress with a square neckline

Welcome to a new pattern making class, in today’s class, I am going to teach you how to make a circular dress.

The circle dress is characterized by the fact that it is fitted at the top but has a circle skirt sewn at the waist.

For today’s class, we are going to make a square neckline, a classic neckline that we had not yet seen in the academy.

Before watching this class I recommend that you watch the corrective darts class to make sure you understand everything we are doing today.

For the circular skirt, we are going to make a gathered full circular skirt to create this striking volume.

You can see the theory and the most common variants of the circular skirt in detail in previous classes.

Today’s class begins with the front, where we also are going to do an all-in-one facing to clean both the neckline and the armhole.

We will move on to making the back, where we will also have to remove the ease so that the back fits perfectly.

To finish we will move on to making the skirt pattern.

As always, I am going to give you all the necessary measurements to make the same design that I have made but keep in mind that you can change them depending on several factors.

For example, you can change it by design, you want it longer, with sleeves…

As I told you in today’s video, you may have to change these measurements if your final fabric is very thick.
