Welcome to this new creative patterning class, in today’s class we are going to learn how to make this design.
This design is inspired by Japanese fashion, if you look at the sleeves you will realize that today we are going to learn origami techniques.
This type of sleeve became very popular a few years ago thanks to the Spanish fashion brand DelPozo.
The original sleeve was a long sleeve and with a raglan sleeve cut.
Then for the body, I decided to make some cuts to the pattern that remind me of a Japanese belt.
Then I have also decided to add small gathers on the chest to make it a more striking design.
If this is one of your first pattern making classes with me, remember that creative pattern making classes are my most advanced classes and I take for granted techniques that I have already shown in my industrial classes.
If you would like to learn more, I recommend that you watch the dart manipulation class to see how it transformed into fullness.
As you have already seen in today’s class, we have made a small corrective dart. Remember that you only have to do this technique depending on the fabric you are going to use.
If you have any questions about this class, you know that you can send me an email through your user account, in the support tab.

The best way to learn pattern making is to do it yourself, so for this class, I am going to ask you to make this design pattern and toile.
If you have had any difficulty making this design, I suggest you send me photos focusing on the problem area and let me know in the “Do you want to say anything to me” section so that I can send you better comments.
Remember to send me photos where you can see both the pattern and the toile perfectly.
