Welcome to a new class of creative projects, in today’s class I’m going to teach you how to make a bucket hat.
Today’s class begins by taking the necessary measurements to make this bucket hat.
Once we have the necessary measurements I will teach you how to make the pattern, whether you want to make a simple bucket hat or if you want to make a reversible hat.
We will learn how to add ease so that the hat adapts perfectly to your taste or that of your client.
Once we have the pattern done, I will teach you how to sew the bucket hat, remember to pre-shrink the fabric before cutting it.
Depending on the fabric you choose, you may have to fuse the entire pattern, I recommend using a fabric with body such as denim.
Although I recommend using a fabric with body, you can use the same pattern to cut a flowy fabric although the final effect will not be the same.
This project is very easy to do and they usually sell quite well.
Remember that if you have any questions about today’s class, you can always send me an email through your user account in the support section.
Now it’s your turn
The best way to learn pattern making and sewing is by practising, so for today’s class, I recommend that you make the bucket hat.
Remember to send me several photos of the finished hat, its preparation and at least one photo where you can see the pattern.
You already know that you can send me this exercise in real size or half scale.
Please try to send me clear photos of the patterns and their annotations so that I can give you better feedback.
