Welcome to this new creative pattern making class, in today’s class we are going to make the waterfall sleeve.
This class begins by modifying the bodice block because we need to create the path where the sleeve will go.
I have made this version but you can modify the body as you like, this sleeve is great for loose blouses and dresses.
Then we will go on to make the sleeve pattern and then I am going to show you how to sew this design.

As I told you in today’s class, to clean the neck and the armhole I recommend doing an all-in-one facing. I have already taught you how to do this technique so it is not in this class.
Then we have also talked about the seam allowances that we need for the sleeve, for this step think that you will need 1 cm to sew the sleeve to the body and the seam allowance for the hem.
This will depend on what type of finish you want. I recommend that you look at the class on how to sew hems of your garments and decide which one you like best for the fabric you are using.
Another way to finish the garments is by making a baby overlock, a very small overlock seam, you can see more about this type of stitches in the overlock class.
As always, if you have any questions about this class, you can send me an email through your user account in the support section.

As always the best way to learn is by doing it yourself, for this class I am going to recommend that you do this sleeve.
You can design the blouse or the dress that you like the most and you can do this exercise as a normal size or at a half scale.
Remember to send me photos of both the design made and photos of the pattern so that I can send you better feedback.
