Welcome to this new creative pattern making class, in today’s class we are going to make the wrap skirt with a knot.
A few weeks ago I taught you how to make a classic wrap skirt, so today we have to raise the level a bit and we are going to make a pareo skirt that you can tie on the side.
I recommend that you see the other class first but it is not necessary to make this perfect skirt for the summer.
The class starts by transforming the back block pattern and then we will move on to transforming the front block pattern.
This skirt is an asymmetrical skirt, which means that it is not the same on both sides, we can do these types of patterns in various ways.
The first and most common is to make a master pattern and then trace the right front and left front to have the different patterns.
In my case I prefer to make several different patterns to avoid tracing them, there are several reasons, but one of them is that I think you can see it better on camera without so many lines.

Today you will learn how to make this type of knot, put into practice how to make facing for this type of skirt and you will also learn how to make a loop.
In this class, you will also find step by step how to sew this design.
Remember that it is important to always make prototypes to make sure that our patterns are perfect before cutting them with good fabric.
As always, if you have any questions, remember that you can send me an email through your user account in the support section.
Submit your exercises
The best way to learn pattern making is by practising, so for today’s class, I’m going to ask you to make this skirt, both the pattern making and its sewing.
Remember that you can do this exercise in real size or in half scale.
Try to send me clear photos of the patterns, the annotations and the final result so that I can send you better comments.
