Welcome to a new pattern making class, in today’s class, I am going to update one of my first classes.
The class that I have decided to update is the class on how to make the skirt block and I have several reasons for wanting to update it.
I’ve been doing a weekly class for Professor Pattern, my pattern-making and sewing academy, for almost 4 years, and I honestly think I’m better now.
I have also improved the quality of the videos, both the camera and the audio over all these years.
Although the main reason for this update is that I wanted to answer frequently asked questions that you asked me.
I have expanded the theory of ease to help you understand the type of ease we encounter.
I have also added a lot more theory so you can better understand what I am doing.

I’m going to leave the old class on how to make the skirt for a few weeks in case any student has started not to leave them halfway.
Since I am using a slightly different system.
Also, I have decided to change the system to a mix of industrial pattern making and bespoke pattern making since some students have asked me to do so.
Although I still say that I teach an industrial pattern making system, I wanted to add more information about bespoke/made-to-measure pattern making.
Next week I will update the class on how to make the prototype of the skirt block.
We are going to change the ease system a little so that you can practice it differently.
To finish I want to add more fitting adjustments to the skirt class to make sure it fits perfecto for everybody.
